Customer ReviewsKeeps getting cloggedWe have purchased this coffee maker three times now. The first time it clogged it was our fault because someone over filled the coffee with very fine grounds and the mess was just too big to clean up. The second time it clogged was just a few months after we had purchased our second machine. This time we returned it thinking there was a problem with the machine. We are now tossing out our third machine. This device does make a good cup of coffee, however, it's design seems flawed. We followed all cleaning/care instructions and were careful about not using fine grounds and the darn thing still clogged. This time, btw, it clogged after a recent clean. Worked fine, then I cleaned it and now it just makes lots of noise and steam. UGH! Wont be buying a forth machine.
One more thing, all three never allowed us to take the pot out before the brewing process was complete...always dripped. Very Good CoffeemakerI just recently purchased the model. I therefore can't attest to its longevity/reliability. It appears to be at the top of what I have had or is out there but I have not owned. All coffeemakers seem to have flaws but most can be overcomed. This makes excellent coffee and that is what matters. Who cares about the cup thingy in the water container- you fill the pot and it tells you the number of cups. The water holder seems no worst others but the fact that the pot pours without spilling makes the small opening a no issue. I don't use most features as I prefer making my coffee when I want a cup. I never set the auto brew as I don't trust most electrical appliances that might cause a fire. This is surely the best coffeemaker, for the money, on the market. Just don't worry about some of the minor complaints because other coffeemakers do not even come close to this one.Cuisinart DCC-1200, fairly typical for CuisinartOur Cuisinart DCC-1200 lasted less that 2 years. Like many Cuisinart products, it's pretty badly underdesigned. The water load is very narrow and back right--tough for lefties and easy to spill over even for righties. The parts are expensive--especially that charcoal filter you have to replace every 2 months. Don't try brewing without it--even with the filter in place, ONE piece of coffee grounds in the heating plenum below the water tank and you might as well throw it all away. The assembly is done with rivets instead of screws so there is no way to get at the lower plenum to clean it properly--again, fairly typical Cuisinart planned obsolesence design. It's a French hunk of junk if you ask me. My Mr Coffee brewed great coffee for almost 10 years before it died. I'll not buy Cuisinart again.Leaks water all over the counterI have had this product for about a year. About 6 months ago it started leaking water out of the bottom of the coffee maker. My wife loves the way it looks. It makes excellent coffee. I especially like the adjustable temperature control on the burner. However, I would not recommend buying this machine because of the water leaking problem.Love it. One note of caution/recommendation....This cofee-maker has served me well; but before buying it I read lots of comments regarding condensation from the lid splashing all over the counter when you flip the lid to dump the grinds. This happens when you don't vent the condensation from the inner compartment. To prevent that from happening-when your coffee is done brewing and you hear the beep letting you know it's done; lift the lid only about 2 inches and let go; this releases the lid on a hatch and will hold the lid slightly to allow the condensation to run down the underside of the lid and into the slope that leads back into the reservoir, preventing it from getting everywhere. Then, and don't ask me how this happens, the lid releases all on it's own. I've been trying to figure out how the lid knows when to close; I'll just assume it's done using a little bit of magic, so as to prevent any kind of blow to my ego...

Easy to clean Gold Filter with easy swing-out basket Brew Pause Color - Black with brushed stainless-steel accentsAmazon.com Review:Strikingly retro in brushed stainless-steel with black-plastic accents, this 12-cup coffeemaker includes Cuisinart's best brewing technology and premium features for ease and flexibility. The digital clock/timer is programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time and for turning off the warming plate up to four hours in advance. Removing the glass carafe from the warming plate automatically pauses the brewing process for a quick pour, and the warming plate's temperature can be adjusted. For maximum flavor, the machine can be set to brew one to four 5-ounce cups or five to twelve cups, and it includes a charcoal water filter. For convenience, a permanent Gold Tone filter eliminates messy paper filters and an indicator-light shows when decalcification is needed. The coffeemaker measures 14-1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep (including carafe handle) and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Keurig B50 Gourmet Single-Cup Brewing System
Binding: Kitchen
Manufacturer: Keurig
Product Description:The word "Keurig" is derived from the Dutch word for excellence and Keurig epitomizes the appreciation for excellent coffee that's simple to make. Keurig was founded by coffee lovers who believed that coffee should always be served fresh, whether at home or at the office, just as in a gourmet coffee house. They noticed that people were constantly leaving the office in search of a fresh cup of coffee and asked themselves: "Why do we brew coffee a pot at a time when we drink it a cup at a time?" From this question, the revolutionary concept of Keurig K-Cup portion pack brewing was born.Introduced in 1998, Keurig's innovative single-cup brewing system lets coffee lovers brew perfect coffee, one cup at a time, in less than a minute. Affectionately called the K-Cup system, the Keurig B50 Gourmet Single Cup Coffee Brewer is designed for simple, easy use at home. This patented single-cup brewing system lets you brew a perfect cup of gourmet coffee in less than a minute without the hassle of grinding beans, measuring coffee, handling filters or cleaning up. Keurig takes away all the guesswork from brewing a consistently great cup of coffee and, as a lover of great coffee, you deserve it. Customer ReviewsLove my coffee!I purchased this coffee maker in January of this year and love it. At fist I wondered how I'd keep up with the cost of K-cups. But, I've just ordered through Amazon's K-cup subscription and this will work well for me, financially. Look into this, folks. What a wonderful way to get your coffee at a better price and with 0 shipping charge! Now I'm enjoying great coffee at a very affordable price. Way to go, Amazon.com!Keurig makes THROWAWAY Products! THEY DO NOT REPAIR THEIR MACHINES!We bought this machine and enjoyed it for about two years, then it died. We called Keurig and were told THEY DO NOT REPAIR THEIR PRODUCTS. Instead, THEY OFFER TOKEN DISCOUNTS ON REPLACMENT MACHINES THEY WANT YOU TO BUY! There is no pride in the durability, servicability, or longevity of this product. Shame on Keurig management for a corporate philosophy of "SORRY, WE DON'T PROVIDE SERVICE. BUY ANOTHER ONE!"
The notion of throwaway products like this that end up in landfills in a world that is struggling to go green is mind-boggling. CORPORATE IRRESPONSIBILITY AND SHORTSIGHTEDNESS.The best single cup brewer out there..... My husband bought this brewer for me a year ago for the holidays. I love it! When I first bought it they didn't have cocoa kcups, but Green Mountain has them now! I have tried this brewer with both the k cup filter with my own coffee and the regular k cups.
I love how fresh the coffee and tea tastes, it makes a great cup of coffee or tea... Very simple, no mess, and hot every time...
I have yet to try the programable feature but that was definitely a perk. I like the two size option, in case you want a stronger cup of coffee.
The k cups are a fairly reasonable price also....
I highly recommend this brewer!!! It is worth all 5 stars.... We like it! I bought the Keurig B50 at BJ's Wholesale Club for 9 and it came with the standard 18 K cup variety as well as 72 more K cups as a bonus. At first I was a little put off by the noise the pump makes before and after brewing, but now I'm used to it. It doesn't bother me at all now, but hopefully Keurig will start making their models that are less than 9 with Quiet Technology. It's kind of silly that you have to spend that much for an appliance to be a bit quieter. Anyway, we love that we can make 2 different flavors of coffee/tea/cocoa within a couple of minutes. It's nice not to have to drink the same thing. We only drink a cup at a time, so there is no point in making a whole pot. It's great that you can get plain hot water within seconds too. It tastes a whole lot better than microwaving a cup of water for tea. That way it is fresh each time. The best k-cup coffee I've had so far dis the Extra Bold Newman's Own Organic, Dark Magic, and Green Mountain Nantucket Blend. The Celestial Seasonings K-cup tea is great too. The only K-cup I haven't cared for so far is the Green Mountain Hot Chocolate. Don't waste your money on that one. Just get some Swiss Miss or other cocoa packet and brew plain water from the Keurig. So far we are pleased. I highly recommend it for singles, couples, and small families that drink one cup at a time. We love it!!I gave this Keurig to my husband for Christmas and He LOVES it. I am not a coffee drinker, but I love the Tea. My husband has tried many different coffees, and has not disliked one yet! Easy and convenient, great for a coffee (or tea) addict!!!

Customer ReviewsLove it!!!!I absolutly love this machine. I've already bought 4 others for birthday and Christmas gifts. Throw away your old Black and Decker and welcome to Keurig!DO NOT buy this productIf and when this coffee maker decides to work, I liked the coffee very much, so much in fact that we recommended the Keurig to 4 friends, all of which purchased the Keurig. Unfortunately, after 18-24 months of use, all off these Keurigs have stopped working. YES, ALL 5 of them. The 'not ready' light continually stays on. Called the company the said to descale. I guess that is snake-oil for the keurig. I explained it wasn't brewing anything. She said she provide a 0.00 voucher towards another Keurig. I told her no thanks and I'm not interested in replacing a 0.00 coffee maker every 18-24 months. what a joke. DO NOT BUY this product. Or do buy this product and when it breaks...oh well!1 year old and still going strongThis is a great coffeemaker. I got it over a year ago, and I am still very pleased with it. It is really easy to make a cup of coffee in the morning (just one for me). My biggest worry was that I wouldn't like the selection of coffee. But, the selection is great. I buy the extra bold kinds from the Keurig website, and they have several choices that I really like. I have no complaints about this machine, except that the power button is on the back, which is a little awkward. (I don't leave the machine on all day like they recommend, because I only make one or two cups a day, and I don't need it to keep water hot around the clock.) I highly recommend this machine, especially if you don't want to make a full pot of coffee, or you have people in your household who like different strengths and/or caf. vs. decaf. When you have guests it's really easy to make a series of cups in a row of different types. Perfect from day one!We have a commercial Keurig coffee brewer at my job and love it. I was always going to look into a home system for myself and kept putting it off until I went to my cousin's home and saw she had the B70. After using it that weekend I was hooked! The B70 Platinum system has the quiet brew technology that the other models don't so I'm not hearing the noise other people are talking about. I think they are getting the models mixed up or have defective units. Mine is whisper quiet from the time it takes the water out of the reservior through the heating process to the actual brewing. You can control the water level for stronger or milder coffee and control the temperature too, it has 4 cup size levels and a setting for iced coffee or tea. I'm still playing with the settings and trying different varieties of coffees and teas so I can order my favorite K-cups, they also have K-cup filters so I can use my own ground coffee or tea. It's an amazing system, easy to use, little to no clean up and the coffees and teas come out perfect every time. If you buy the unit make sure to wash out the water reservior with soapy water before or after you prime the unit or you will get a very plastic tasting first cup of coffee, in my case it was hot chocolate and it was NASTY! Once I washed the reservior it was fine. This has been one of my best investments in years, it is worth every penny because in the long run you save money. Buy the sample packs of 5 off the Kuerig site and become a member of their coffee club, you save even more that way!Quiet is the wordI purchased the B70 first time around in August this year, unfortunatly it was defective on arriving. I was able to get a feel for it though as it did try to go through the motions, it was extremly loud and vibrated all over the counter. Amazon was great about the return process and gave me a full refund. I almost gave up on the B70, but I saw a review that said a new B70 was coming out anytime. Well, I just got mine in, and I can say it is SO much quieter than the first model. No vibrations and hardly any sound. It also has an Iced brew mode which I haven't tried yet. So as long as the ...

Customer ReviewsA cup of coffee that is good to the last drop! This is a totally new way for us to make coffee. We used to a Krups 12-cup auto-maker and have used that for years. But as our coffee drinking has slowed, we started looking at options and found one after a weekend trip at a friend's home. They had a Keurig on their counter and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of flavors available as well as the ease of use.
So we bought a B60 model and absolutely love it! A good value product.
We have groups of people over for evenings and they like it as well. We use the Krups for decafe and the Keurig for regular since there are less people that want high test coffee after dinner these days.
Simple to use and to clean-up, plus we can offer multiple choices of coffee for every taste, any time.
We have bought two of the reusable coffee filter units that insert into the Keurig Brewer because the k-cup coffees are expensive by comparison. That way we can get our coffee made in the brewer since it isn't available in the k-cup system as yet. serves my needs wellThis was my Christmas gift last year. I am the only one who drinks coffee at my house, and usually just 2 cups a day. I love flavored coffees. I used to use a small 4 cup with cone shaped filters and I was so tired of having coffee grounds in my coffee every morning, so Santa bought this one. I love it. Simple to use, works fast and I can switch out flavors easily. I buy my coffee thru Amazon subscription so I don't have to worry about trying to find the cups at the stores.
I have noticed that it seems louder than it was when I first got it, but that doesn't bother me. It's only for a minute. The only thing I don't like is that the water container seems small. I wish it was bigger so I didn't have to refill as often.
They sell a K-cup that you can reuse over and over again with your own coffee rather than buying their cups. I have it, I wasn't impressed with it. It's hard to get the grounds out of it when you want to brew another cup. It seems like you have to clean it after every single use. I buy the cups and save myself some aggravation.BEST COFFEE MACHINE OUT THEREi love this machine we got the b60 and it makes the perfect cup of coffee and tea the earl grey is amazing perfect to the last drop
i weighed out the price and for what i spent throwing my reg coffee machine leftovers out or the whole thing if it didnt taste good plus the coffee i brought while out it was well worth it
bjs wholesale has a case of 80 for 32.00 but i do like the variety packs and most of them are fair trade which is even better. The Keurig is OVER RATED!I was at Bed, Bath & Beyond researching these coffee machines to replace my Starbucks Barista one cup/mug coffee maker (that thing makes a mess!). Anyway, there was someone demonstrating the Keurig. She showed me how it worked and made me a cup of coffee. I chose one of those non-popular brands (pumpkin spice), took a sip and wanted to throw it up. It tasted like cheap, truck-stop coffee!
Next to her display area was the Tassimo by Bosch (the newer model). I've already done my homework on this machine and knew that it was the better of the two. Tassimo makes great coffee and more popular brands unlike what Keurig has to offer. I also think that the K pods are clunky with way too much plastic for our landfills. Tassimo made more sense to me. I also like the fact that the Tassimo has a built-in water filter system that tells you when you're low in water. Keurig doesn't have that. All they have is over 130 unpopular coffee brands. Bosch did a great job with their Research & Development ...
